I must have appeared lost as this giant of a man came up to me and asked me if I needed any help. I explained I needed to get to the Housing Opportunity meeting but seemed to have lost my group. He said he knew where to go and to my surprise, he walked with me. He said he wanted to make sure I got there. He asked lots of questions as to why I had come to the Business Meeting and listened to each answer. When he ascended to the podium, I was even more surprised that he had stopped to help me. Throughout the rest of the week, whenever he saw me, LeFrancis took a moment to make sure I was still on track. During the last two years, he has continued to encourage me to become ever more involved with CAR. I am not sure I would have without sharing LeFrancis' vision. I am sure that LeFrancis treats everyone in a similar manner, with utmost respect and without judgment. He still knows where to go, how to listen, and how to stay on track. He is a gentleman's gentleman, both confident and strong. He is a leader with true presence. As our President-Elect for 2011, LeFrancis Arnold will lead CAR with the same discerning eye that noticed someone in distress, the same gentleness of spirit that inspired me to persevere, and with the heart, vision, imagination and integrity needed now more than ever to help us all succeed. It is with great pleasure that I support LeFrancis Arnold for CAR 2011 President-Elect. I have known and worked with LeFrancis since the Los Angeles civil unrest in the early 90's. LeFrancis was part of our “Rebuild LA” team”. LeFrancis brought his calm, steady voice to many of the tension-filled meetings the task force held. He displayed courageous leadership on many occasions; specifically, in the process of forming the Multi-Cultural Alliance for Urban Change. During this period, it was not easy to develop an organization that would work for cooperation among the many diverse cultural populations in Los Angeles. The leaders of that core group, which included LeFrancis, did an outstanding job at framing the message and getting the communities' buy-in. Their stated purpose was to make certain there would not be a repeat of those tragic events. LeFrancis has the leadership skills to make a great CAR President. No matter what the future of the real estate industry or housing or urban change holds, he will be ready for it. I strongly urge all to support LeFrancis for 2011 President-Elect.

LeFrancis Arnold is one of us. He is a REALTOR® in every sense of the word. He embodies the goals and ideals of the REALTOR® from fair treatment to honest representation. He knows the industry and I look to him for advice and guidance. After my 24 years as a REALTOR® and over 10 years on the Board of Directors, I can’t say that there is anyone else I would prefer to lead CAR. I think his leadership is an inspiration to all of us and I look forward to seeing him elected.

It brings me great satisfaction to endorse LeFrancis Arnold for President-Elect of the California Association of REALTORS® for 2011. He is a strong leader who has an ability to coalesce a group with different views. He is a loyal friend, not just to his friends but to the association that he has served so diligently. He is an honorable man and will lead with honor and integrity. LeFrancis will make a fine president of our association and I am grateful to be able to work with him to accomplish this task.

At my first meeting at CAR in 1999, I was very nervous and found myself overwhelmed in a very large Legislative meeting. I was standing in the back of the room when this very large man walked towards me and said, "You look lost so come with me and I will find you a seat right in front so you can see how this committee works." He took me to the front of the room and sat me in his seat and he stood in the back of the room. Several times during that meeting, he checked on me and explained important issues as they arose. I, like many, became a friend to LeFrancis. He has listened, guided, and encouraged me throughout my experiences at CAR. When I think of a good man, I think of LeFrancis. He is a man that values compassion, caring, courage, dedication, encouragement, and strength. I believe that LeFrancis Arnold lives his life by example and is the true definition of a leader.

I have had the pleasure of knowing LeFrancis Arnold since his first appointment as a CAR Director. As a past member of his region, I have had the opportunity to watch LeFrancis grow and become the leader he is today. His first involvement began as a Regional Representative to various committees. Like so many of us, his involvement then grew into numerous committee leadership positions, and his leadership skills matured into the leader we have today. LeFrancis’ participation at CAR has been dedicated to furthering the interests of the REALTOR® organization, the REALTOR® on the street, and the furtherance of homeownership. I consider LeFrancis to truly be a “Leader of Leaders”. I whole heartedly and without any reservation endorse LeFrancis as CAR’s President-Elect candidate for 2011.

As President and CAR Director for the Lodi Association of REALTORS® it was my pleasure to vote for Region 7 to endorse LeFrancis' candidacy. I did attend the Candidates Forum and listened to both candidates with an open mind. I just want to share why LeFrancis stood out in my mind. While I'm sure Tom Carnahan would do a great job for CAR, what I heard in his comments were "me and "I". What I heard from LeFrancis was "we" and "together."
